What is this app for?: Search pupil laptop records by year group, review specifications, print reports and export the data you need.

What it does

Two jobs, in the order a new pupil meets them: get an account, then get the laptop checked.

Their account, worked out for you

Give it a name, a year group and a student ID and it produces the email address, the username and the password to the school's convention. Nothing is typed by hand, so two people doing this a month apart get the same answer.

The letter they take home

One page, ready to print, with their Wi-Fi details and how to reach their email. Print one pupil or a whole year group in a single go.

The laptop assessment

Work through RAM, storage, operating system, encryption and admin rights against the BYOD requirements. It tells you whether the device passes, and if it does not, exactly which requirement it missed and in words you can read out to a parent.

The record, not a spreadsheet

Everything stays here: searchable, sortable, and exportable as CSV, Excel or a printable log whenever somebody needs it elsewhere.
